If you are a Veteran in crisis, or worried about one, help is available right now, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

The Veterans Crisis Line is free and confidential. A trained responder who supports Veterans answers every call, text, and chat. You do not have to be enrolled in VA benefits or VA health care to reach out. The line also serves service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and Veterans’ families and friends.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs runs the Veterans Crisis Line. I’m a mortgage loan officer, not a counselor. I keep this line on my website menu because the Veterans and first responders I work with should always know where to turn.
